10-19-17 Announcements

The cross country team competed in their final meet this past weekend. Out of six teams, the boys placed third, and the girls came in second. Congratulations to Sam Beeler, Elyse Kelly, Lily Bauer, and Jess Beeler for receiving a medal at the meet. Also, a shout out to Jerry O’Hara for all of his help managing this season and congrats to all of our runners! Please wash and return your uniforms to Sra. Or Mrs. Whalen by Friday.


Any students in the Lifetime Sports Expedition tomorrow need to bring their gear to swim.


Attention Page to Stage participants:  Don’t forget to bring any props and/or costumes for Friday’s performance!  You can drop off in Mrs. Jordan’s room. 


Boys interested in trying out for basketball teams can meet with coaches on Tuesday, October 24 during lunch.  Meeting will be held in the library.


Attention Power of the Pen teams: Don’t forget we have practice on Thursday in Mrs. Jordan’s room. See your LA teacher if you can’t be there! Don’t forget to bring your signed paperwork.


A big congratulations to the girls junior high tennis team who won their end of season tournament last week. Peyton Wilhelm came in first in her flight, and the doubles team Annie Byers/Lucy Neville came in first in their doubles flight to seal the win.  Also helping add points to the overall team score were Abby Black who came in second in her flight and the team of Laney Riportella/Marlo Santoro who came in second in their doubles flight!!!  What an awesome end to such a successful season!!  Coach is so proud.


Do you enjoy taking photographs? Scrapbooking? If so, join the 2017-18 MJHS Yearbook Club!


All students are invited to join and work on the MJHS Yearbook.  Students will have the opportunity to work with yearbook software to create layouts, take and upload pictures, write captions and edit pages.  Students who are artistic and enjoy creative writing are encouraged to join!  The yearbook club meets twice a month during Warrior Bell.  Students who are interested should attend Thursday’s meeting in room 210 with Mrs. Anderson. 


Lady Warriors, a group run by girls, for girls, will be holding their first meeting on Monday, October 23rd at lunch. Any 7th or 8th grade girls interested in checking out this fun, social club, please meet in the library for lunch. Questions? See Mrs. Skinner!


Late Arrival / Early Dismissal Procedure:  Parents please send a note to school with your student if they need to leave early for an appointment or other reason.  Please remind your student to bring the note to the office upon arrival (prior to first bell class) where they will receive a pass to leave class early and wait at the office until you arrive.  If this procedure is followed, your student will be sent outside to meet you upon your arrival.  In place of a note to school you may email Mrs. Murray prior to 8:30
