Just a friendly reminder that TONIGHT is our MJHS Open House! We are thrilled to welcome you in to get a sneak peek into our school! We will have a bit of a different format this year with the focus being on you getting to see all that you’d like to see while you’re here at your own pace!  Today your kiddo was given an extra copy of their schedule to bring home to you – so check those book bags. :)  We will start all together in the commons promptly at 7pm. After a quick introduction, you’ll have time to walk your kiddo’s schedule, visit their classrooms, meet their teachers, check out their locker location, etc. The event is true open house style so while we’ll formally wrap up at 8pm, you’re welcome to head out after you’ve ‘made the rounds’ and seen all that you wanted to see. Also, we’ll have representatives from our PTO, the Foundation, the Boosters, and Mariemont Arts Association here to share information and offer memberships.

The JH cross country team ran in their second meet yesterday.  The girl’s team placed 2nd out of 16 teams – Lizzie Feeney placed first out of 190 girls, Elyse Kelly placed second, Lily Bauer placed fourth and Jess Beeler placed eighth. For the boys, the 7th gr team placed fifth out of twenty-four teams and the 8th grade boys placed tenth.  Henry Buck won the open race beating 267 runners and Sam Beeler came in eighth for the team.  All JH runners did an excellent job!

Students participating in the archery expedition must wear shoes with no openings on the foot – no sandals, flip-flops, flats, crocs or clogs.

Students in the pastry decorating expedition remember to bring a container to take home some of the pastries you will be decorating.

Attention students taking the Learning the City & Giving Back expedition:  Bring an umbrella and wear comfortable walking shoes!  Be prepared for a fun but rainy Friday!!

Late Arrival / Early Dismissal Procedure:  Parents please send a note to school with your student if they need to leave early for an appointment or other reason.  Please remind your student to bring the note to the office upon arrival (prior to first bell class) where they will receive a pass to leave class early and wait at the office until you arrive.  If this procedure is followed, your student will be sent outside to meet you upon your arrival.  In place of a note to school you may email Mrs. Murray prior to 8:30
