Power of the Pen
Practice resumes this Thursday, April 13, after school in Mrs. Strall’s room. We will be writing to prepare for the state competition. Make sure you touch base with one of the coaches if you have play practice and are unable to attend.
Ohio Music Educators’ Association
Nicholas Elin and Jackson Hacias participated in the Junior High Solo & Ensemble Festival that was held at Milford Junior High School Saturday, April 8. They each preformed a solo piece for a judge and audience and were award the highest rating of Superior! Congratulations Nicholas and Jackson!
The team defeated Cardinal Pacelli yesterday 4-1 with singles wins from Will Young, Riley Whitmore and Wil Glassmeyer and a doubles win by Stefan Nistor and Zachary Dutro. Peter Crowley also won a great exhibition match. Great job boys!!!
Are you good at cutting the cheese? Well, even if that is not your special talent, you can use your prowess science skills to make several types of gourmet cheese from scratch. Mr. Amlung will bring the crackers and sparkling grape juice to celebrate!! Science club meeting is Thursday, April 13, in room 113 after school.

Kings Island Day
The Jr. High annual trip to Kings Island is scheduled for Friday, May 19. A parent letter and permission slip with additional information are available in the office (also sent by email on 4/3/17).
8th Grade Washington DC Parent Meeting
If your kiddo is attending our Washington DC 2017 trip, please mark your calendar to attend a parent informational meeting on Wednesday, April 19 at a time that works for you: 9:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. in the MJHS media center. Topics will be: t-shirts & general apparel, spending money, roommates, packing and medications. Other than this, we will only have one final meeting (parents and students together) about a week before we leave.

Order forms and money are due to the office by Friday, April 21, for students attending the June 2017 trip.
6th Grade Open House
Wednesday, April 12, is the 6th Grade Open House at the JH from 6:30 – 7:15. This evening is a great chance for students and parents to get their first glimpse into MJHS!
