Mr. Wiseman taught three years in other districts before his arrival in 1999 at Mariemont High School—two years at Aiken High School (Cincinnati Public Schools) and one year on Long Island (Bay Shore High School). Mr. Wiseman graduated with a major in English Literature and Writing from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1997. He obtained his Master’s degree (M.Ed.) from Northern Kentucky University in 2004. He has studied Literacy at the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Wiseman has attended workshops and seminars sponsored by The College Board (2006)- The National Writing Project (2005, Miami University)- The American Society of Newspaper Editors (2003, Ball State University)- and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. (2002). He is a member and former officer of the National Council of Teachers of English where he has presented at past national conventions. Most recently Wiseman obtained his National Board Certification from the Board for Professional Teaching Standards (2005). He attended a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Seminar in London, England in 2010, and is currently a Reader for the AP English Literature and Composition Exam. Mr. Wiseman has taught journalism and freshman and senior English courses at MHS. He is also the advisor of the Warpath and Leadership Council.
