Hosting an international student goes beyond providing a bed and meals, together you will expand your family and intellectually challenge yourself as you learn more about your student and the world surrounding you.
“Our experience hosting AFS student Erdal Fere was amazing. We so enjoyed having Ertsi as a part of our daily lives,“ said Jennifer Michaelson, Terrace Park resident who hosted an AFS student for the 2014-2015 school year. “He readily participated in our family activities and befriended his new brothers immediately. He was highly respectful and helpful and fit right in with us.”
She credits the school district administration, teachers and Mariemont High School students for welcoming Ertsi with open arms, which ultimately led to his successful and memorable year.
“His high school experience exceeded our expectations. Ertsi excelled in sports…he also was voted Prom King. It was difficult to bid farewell to Ertsi, but luckily, technology enables us to stay a part of each other's lives and we are looking forward to his visit this summer.”
