Construction Manager at Risk (CMr) Request for Qualifications – Addendum 1:  3/6/2018

Question 1: What is the project budget expected to be?

Answer 1:  The project budget will be established in the next few months by the school board after input from the project team of which the selected CMr will be a part.  The total conceptual project costs for the current vision are in the $35,000,000 to $50,000,000 range.  For discussion purposes an average conceptual cost of $43,000,0000 can be considered. Construction costs would be expected to be approximately $37,000,000 as part of a total conceptual project cost of $43,000,000.  These construction costs include the swing space.  Additional preliminary information on the associated scope is available on the website at:  http://www.mariemontschools.org/mariemont-high-school/facilities-project.

Question 2: What is the project schedule expected to be?

Answer 2: The project schedule will be developed over the next few months with the project team of which the selected CMr will be a part.  For discussion purposes the following conceptual schedule can be considered.  Site construction, temporary classrooms, and building demolition would start the summer of 2019.  Work would be phased over two years with completion for August 2021.

Question 3: What are the restrictions on the number of pages?

Answer 3: The page restriction on responses is removed from the RFQ, however only relevant information as requested in the RFQ is to be provided.

Question 4: Has a project architect been selected?

Answer 4: The design contract award process is underway and is anticipated to be complete within the month. The intent is to reach agreement with MSA Architects.

Question 5: Are drawings available?

Answer 5: Conceptual plans have been developed for discussions only and are available as part of the presentations shared on the Mariemont City Schools website: http://www.mariemontschools.org/mariemont-high-school/facilities-project.
