ANNOUNCEMENTS -- Thursday, AUGUST 31, 2017

  1. Campus Life will meet next Thursday, September 7th during both lunches. Locations of the meetings will be announced next week and will be put on Blackboard.
     
  2. There will be a warrior bell this coming Tuesday, September 5th. Teachers and students will follow a warrior bell schedule.  Students should check blackboard or the front desk for their location during Warrior Bell, which takes place before 6th bell.
     
  3. Leadership Council is having its first meeting after school on Tuesday the 5th in C20. Please let an officer know if you cannot attend.
     
  4. Any Student wishing to join Key Club should see Mrs. Bell. Key Club members can also pick up Art Fair booklets for distribution from Mrs. Bell.  Dues will be due by Friday Sept. 8th.
     
  5. AFS! If you would like to join the AFS Club, please see senora Timmerding or officers Cassidy Bollman or Nate Michaelson. Dues will be $5. JOIN!! It’s the best ever!
     
  6. The Girls Tennis Team beat Badin yesterday 3 matches to 2. Winners for the Warriors were Avery Lindner and Melanie Weiss in singles and the doubles team of Abbey Falknor and Claire Soller. The Girls are now 7 and 2 on the season. The Tennis Team travels for a league match this afternoon against Madeira.
     
  7. Auditions for this year's fall play, Harvey, will take place at 3pm on Tuesday, September 5th in the auditorium. Please see Mr. Weiss in room 10 for audition materials.
     
  8. If you are planning to turn in a PE Waiver for fall sports or marching band, or a PE Flex Credit form for first semester credit, the deadline to turn in these forms is Tuesday, September 5. Both forms are available either on our school’s website or in the CCPC. Please turn your completed forms in to the CCPC.
     
  9. Dewey’s Pizza is seeking part time cooks and server assistants at the Kenwood location. No experience is required and positions are available that are good for students who need to have a balance of work and school. Flyers are available in the CCPC. 
     
  10. Need community service hours?  The Terrace Park Labor Day Yard Sale is looking for strong volunteers to help with heavy item pick up next Thursday Sept 7 from 6-9 pm. We are also looking for anyone who can bring a pick-up truck that we can use to move the items. In addition, we need volunteers next Saturday, September 9th from 11:00 – 2:00 to help pack up the leftover items. If interested, contact Carole Wilkinson at cpdwilkinson@gmail.com.
     
  11. Stepping Stones is also looking for volunteers ages 13 and up to help out at their Saturday programs which run from September through April. If you are interested, flyers are available in the CCPC.
     
  12. Join the HS Challenge for the Warrior Run on Sept 30!  The winning HS receives a Skyline lunch. The link to register is on blackboard OR CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. Consider signing up to run/ walk 1 mile or 5k, volunteer and get service hours, or just donate to a great cause- teen mental health and wellness! See Jonah Dill or Kayla Dewey for more information. 
     
  13. Please join with Mariemont’s National Honor Society on Sunday, Sept. 17 as they walk in support of those who suffer from ALS, either by donating or by walking with us.
