Walk-A-thon

Friday, September 28th at the Mariemont High School track

Kindergarten, First, Second and Third Grades: 9-10:30am
Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grades: 1:15-2:15pm

Information About Walk-a-thon

Walk-a-Thon will take place on Friday, September 28th. Students will be transported by bus to the high school where they will walk the track as well as take part in fun activities. There will be a break where students get to enjoy a snack. Each student will receive a colored T-shirt at school on the day of the Walk-a-Thon to wear duringthe event. The shirts are color coordinated by grade so teachers can keep track of students. The T-shirts will be returned to the homeroom teachers after the event. Please remember to wear gym shoes and bring a water bottle.

Instructions for Collecting Pledges

MEPTO has teamed up with The Get Movin’ Crew© for the 2018 Walk-a-Thon! With this new partnership, we can now accept credit/debit donations online from anywhere in the world, in addition to cash & checks. To participate, each child needs to be registered on the Mariemont Elementary www.thegetmovincrew.com website.

To register your child(ren), just follow these simple steps!

  1. Visit www.thegetmovincrew.com
  2. Click on “Get Registered Parent Login”
  3. Click on “Create a Parent Login”
  4. Create your parent login
  5. Click “+Add Student” and register your child(ren) - each student should be registered separately
  6. Beginning September 14th, you can share your child’s donation link via email, Facebook or other social media with just a few clicks

Register by September 14th and you child will be entered to win a Dewey’s gift card!

Prizes

Individual Prizes for Pledges Collected

  • Collect $10 in pledges – wear a hat to school
  • Collect $20 in pledges – wear pajamas on Pajama Day
  • Collect $40 in pledges – Emoji Splat Toy
  • Collect $75 in pledges – Mariemont visor
  • Collect $100 in pledges – Mariemont long-sleeve t-shirt
  • Collect $125 in pledges – Mariemont umbrella (fits in most backpacks)
  • Collect $150 in pledges – Mariemont duffle bag

Other Individual Prizes (pledges must be received on or before the deadline in order to be eligible for the following)

  • Top Pledge Collector in the School – principal for ½ a day
  • Top Pledge Collector (boy and girl) in all grades – Fit Bit
  • Top Pledge Collector in each Grade – ride in a police car from high school back to elementary school after the Walk-a-thon

Class/Grade Prizes

  • Top Pledge Collecting Grade – Grade receives $400 to spend on Learning Lab material (to be voted on by the students in the grade)
  • Top Pledge Collecting Class – Classroom receives $100 to spend on classroom material (to be voted on by the students in the class)

Pledges are due Friday, September 28th!
