  • Class placement for 2018-2019: Believe it or not, we are already starting to make plans for next school year. Soon teachers will begin creating class lists and arranging current students in grades K-5th grade into balanced groups for their next grade placement. Our goal is to keep your child's best interest in mind and have a well-balanced and nurturing learning environment. Class list formation is a conscious decision-making process based on many variables. Overall academic ability, classroom performance, personality traits, social/emotional needs, and behavioral factors are some of the characteristics used to help in the placement process. For the reasons stated above, we are asking that parents not make a request for a specific teacher for the upcoming school year. However, we understand that you, as a parent, have important information to share about your child. Such information might include your child's learning style, the type of environment that you believe he/she responds to best, etc. If you would like to share information about your child with us, please submit it in writing to Mrs. Simmons by Friday, April 20. Letters, notes, input forms, or e-mails received after April 20 cannot be considered due to the timing of preparations for next year. As always, our aim is to provide the highest quality educational experience for your child. Click for a Parent Input Form in Word that can be used to share information about your child. Filling out this form is optional. (Class assignments for the 2018-2019 school year will be mailed on 8/3/18).
