Alumni Mission

Implementation of the Mission

The Alumni Association intends to implement its mission by being a liaison between the alumni and the school, to bring to alumni updates of the school and its various activities, and to reflect the sentiment of the alumni on matters affecting the school by fostering moral and financial support for the continued growth of the school.

The Alumni Association will collect and preserve and display the school's photographs, papers and artifacts, sponsor and assist in class reunions and annual homecoming events, publish an alumni newsletter, support the high school, promote school spirit and pride in the students through historical knowledge, assist in promoting and supporting the High School Halls of Fame, provide scholarships to deserving students, honor teachers, administrators and staff for outstanding contributions to the school and community, provide a job clearing house for local employers and high school alumni, and encourage community service.

The alumni office is now set up in the Junior High School Building (the old Dale Park Elementary building), room 310. The plan is to archive the history of each class back to 1950. 1950 was the first class to graduate from Mariemont High School. Before 1950, it was called Plainville High School.

The search is on for copies of photos of Prom, dances, variety shows, musicals, newspaper articles, sport clips, sports pictures, chieftans, warpaths, class rings, warrior rings, letter sweaters, warrior jackets etc. If you have any memorabilia and would like to part with it, the MAA would love to make it part of your class and our high school history.
