Builders  Club

Builders Club is comprised of focused, highly motivated, and community

service-oriented students. All fifth and sixth grade students are members of the club.

Each member has a goal of performing five service hours per semester to a community,

school, or charitable project.

             The Builders Club seeks to:

                    • Provide opportunities for students to work together in service to others.

                    • Develop leadership abilities.

                    • Develop strong moral character.

                    • Encourage loyalty to school, community, and the nation.

In addition to the service hours each member contributes, the club as a

whole undertakes a project. The club members select, by a majority vote, a project

and conduct fund raisers. Examples of past years projects which required significant

effort on the part of club members are:

                    • Raising and donating funds to fight ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)

                    • Raising and donating funds to fight cystic fibrosis

                    • Raising and donating funds to purchase acreage to save rain forests

                    • Raising and donating funds to eliminate iodine deficiency in third

                       world countries

Builders Club is sponsored by the Mariemont Kiwanis Club. The Builders Club

positively contributes to student development while greatly benefiting the special place

where we live.
