Ancient Egypt

During this project, student teams will work collaboratively to produce a PowerPoint presentation in order to educate other students about Ancient Egypt. What's unique about this? Mrs. Fiorina will not be "teaching" the unit. Students are expected to apply their vast research skills in order to acquire the required knowledge to create the presentation.
Mrs. Fiorina and Mrs. Jackson will prepare lists of appropriate texts, websites and other resources. Both teachers will work as mentors guiding students through the acquisition of knowledge and providing technical support.
What will the final PowerPoint look like? That is up to each team. OK- there are some rules.
1. The presentation cannot be a "talk from the notes" PowerPoint. The PowerPoint file should tell a story, be a game, or ... that is really up to each team. You have to think outside the box!
2. The presentation must demonstrate mastery of the content. Please read the unit objectives carefully.
3. The last slide in the presentation must be a works consulted page. Yes, citing sources is important so cite every source.
4. The research must come from teacher approved resources. Sources of information not on the approved list must be approved by Mrs. Fiorina or Mrs. Jackson. Yes, that means NO GOOGLE SEARCHES!
