| The school shall
be so organized that students recognize and develop their talents, have a
realistic appraisal of their aptitudes, and become aware of the
opportunities to maximize their potential

District
Philosophy of Education
Mariemont Board of Education,
staff and administrators believe:
- that testing is a
snapshot of a student's performance on that day only and must be
analyzed in the context of other data and classroom performance.
- that the advent of
proficiency testing doesn't not end the district's need for individual and
group analysis.
- that comparison of
potential with performance recognizes the uniqueness of each student and
is an appropriate measure of student performance.
- that testing, to be an
efficient use of student and staff time, must be utilized for individual
and program planning.
- that cooperation of
students, parents and the school is necessary for the full utilization
of test information.
