The Girls varsity lacrosse team returned travels to Sycamore on Tuesday to battle the Aviators.  The Lady Warriors will round out the home season on Wednesday against Mt. Notre Dame.

 

The boys lacrosse team will be at Indian Hill on Tuesday and will return home on Friday to host Turpin, and remain home on Saturday to host Granville..

 

The varsity baseball, ranked 4th in the city, team wrapped up sole possession of the CHL title with two wins over Deer Park last week.  The Warriors host Clinton Massie on Wednesday and New Richmond on Thursday.  The Warriors will open tournament play with the #2 seed against the winner of the Purcell Marian-Bethel Tate game on Wednesday, 5/14 at Fairfax Field.

 

The girls softball team will travel to CHCA on Monday, 5/12 to open the tournament..

 

 

The Girls Track team, ranked #1 in the city, swept the Mariemont McKee Kiwanis Invitational last week and gears up for the Batavia Invitational this weekend, before wrapping up the regular season with the CHL league meet at Wyoming on the 15th and 16th..

 

 

 

For families planning ahead, the following dates have been set for the 2008-09 school year:

Physicals  Monday July 28 in the Commons  Srs and Jrs 6pm; Sophs and Frosh at 6:45; JH at 7:15

 

First day of Football practice  Thursday July 31

 

First day other fall sports  Monday Aug 4th

 

Fall Sports Parents Meeting (HS) Monday Aug 4th

 

First Day JH Sports/ Signup meeting  Monday Aug 11th  9am at MJHS

Warrior fans are reminded that they are guests of the athletes performing at the games.  The athletes train and play for the love of the sport and for pride of representing their schools.  Remember when you are at the game to respect their efforts and their time invested in the long hours of practice and training, to respect the coaches for their time and dedication to the athletes, and to the officials for their help in conducting the game fairly.  In short, remember to Respect the Game.
