Job Description

Serves as the primary administrator and chief executive of the Parking Crew. Responsible for implementing and updating procedure to ensure the  effectiveness of  operations. This includes drafting and editing the Operations Manual and revising procedure to ensure that the Crew is providing the most efficient and best service possible. Primarily designs and implements event-specific parking and traffic control procedures for MPC-staffed events throughout the school district as well as for other special events within the community. He is required to spend several hours a season in the field to observe and evaluate employees and procedures. Also responsible for equipment management and maintenance as well as training new employees and officers.  Serves as the liaison to the Mariemont Police Department and handles community relations.

Career History

Ted began working for the Parking Crew in the Fall of 1999. He was soon promoted to Assistant Parking Supervisor where he served under Head Parking Supervisor Dave Wainscott for 4 years. Ted was promoted to Head Parking Supervisor in June of 2003 with over 50 events of experience. The Fall 2003 season proved to be one of the busiest in MPC history as Kusel Stadium was rented to host all of  Mt. St. Joseph's NCAA home football games. McNicholas High School also rented the facility for 4 games. Additionally, the Warriors made the 1st Round of the regional playoffs bringing an additional football tournament game to Kusel. The combination of these events put the total of Class 4 or 5 events worked that season at 15, up from an average of 5.  These events, as well as the increasing number of large events the Crew worked in subsequent years, provided Ted with a vast amount of experience in traffic control and parking operations. After 8 years on the Crew, Ted was appointed as the Director of Operations in the Spring of 2007and Andy Richardson took over as Head Parking Supervisor. He is currently starting his 10th year at MPC and has greatly enjoyed serving the Mariemont athletic community.

Ted received the MPC Lifetime Achievement Award in October 2006 for his continued leadership and dedication over a career spanning  a record 175 events.

Personal Info

Ted graduated from Mariemont High School in 2003 and obtained a degree in history from Xavier University in 2007. He is currently a student at the University of Dayton School of Law.  In his spare time Ted enjoys football, college basketball and carpentry.
