One Goal, One Team...It's joga time!

  2008 Warriors Video

IN THE NEWS. . . .
Hogan Named All American
Senior Kelsey Hogan was recently named to the 2009 NSCAA High School All American team.  Only 82 girls from across the nation achieve such an honor.  In addition, Kelsey was named to the NSCAA All Central Region squad for the second straight year.  She becomes the first soccer All American from Mariemont, and will be honored at the NSCAA National Convention on January 16th.  Congratulations, Kelsey!

Warriors Moving On
Three of the Mariemont Warriors will be moving on to continue their playing careers at the collegiate level.  Senior defender Megan Holland will be taking her game to Washington University in St. Louis.  Her work will be cut out for her as her future team is coming off a run to the NCAA Division III National Championship game.  Fellow senior Sanam Zahedi will be tackling the Big East as she joins the Cincinnati Bearcats.  Forward Kelsey Hogan has agreed to continue her career with the Student Princes of Heidelberg, playing under Mariemont graduate Nick Spell (class of 1999).  Congratulations, Warriors!

Warriors Honored

The Warriors had many deserving players honored with post-season awards.  Junior keeper Timia Ingram earned Honorable Mention All CHL honors, fellow juniors Emily Mehl and Emily Moreton earned 2nd Team All CHL honors, and sophomore Morgan Beck, as well as seniors Megan Holland, Sanam Zahedi and Kelsey Hogan earned 1st Team honors.
The coaches of Southwest Ohio named Beck, Holland, Zahedi and Hogan to the All Southwest team, with Hogan earning Player of the Year honors.  In addition, Kelsey was named, for the 2nd straight year, to 1st Team All Ohio. Congratulations, Warriors!

Warriors Walk for Down Syndrome

The Warrior stepped off the pitch and took to the walk at Sawyer Point to raise funds and awareness for Downs Syndrome.  The girls should be lauded for their efforts and their willingness to give their time to benefit others.  We couldn't be more proud of you, Warriors!!

Special thanks to Fairfax, Terrace Park, and Mariemont Recreational Soccer for giving our players the solid foundation needed to excel at the High School level and help make our women's soccer program one of the best!
