Follow the instructions to construct three different karyotypes, determine the karyotype, and give the condition that results from having this karyotype.  Write your answers in the spaces provided on this page.

 

You will then review karyotyping and look at a new way to karyotype that has some advantages over the clasical technique.  Read about the karyotype technique, and answer the questions in the space provided.

            Go to Mrs. H’s web page.  Click on links > mitosis/meiosis >scroll to karyotyping, click on “making a karyotype”.

What to do:

 

            Check off the steps as you do them so that you are sure you complete everything.

___ when you are done, be sure to fill in these answers.  Then go to patients B and C and repeat the procedure for them.
