Sarah Demaio

Varsity Head Coach

Sarah Demaio enters her first year as the head coach of the Lady Warriors following three years of coaching in the Lakota School District.  Sarah was the head coach of West in 2011 and 2013, and defensive coach for East in 2012.  Sarah has served as the Ohio Girls director for true Lacrosse in 2012 and as the Head Coach of the Cincinnati Royals Travel 15's team in 2013.

Sarah starred for Lakota West in her prep playing days in 2003-2006, starting all four years on varsity.  She was team captain in 2005 and 2006, as well as the team MVP.  In 2004 and 2005, she earned West's Best Defense Award.

Collegiately, Sarah played at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, starting for four year.  She earned the Best Defense Award in 2007 and the Unsung Hero Award in 2010.

Sarah is excited to take over the reins of the Lady Warriors from Coach Kevin Ferry, someone she played and coached against.  She knows firsthand of the job Ferry has done building the program and such a great tradition at Mariemont.  Sarah is excited to be a part of the Mariemont Lacrosse tradition and is looking forward to the challenge of this year's schedule and hopefully returning to the regionals and beyond.  She believes this year's tribe of Warriors are a hardworking, talented, and smart group, that can achieve great success this year.  She is looking forward to the team developing under the mantra of "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
