College sponsored scholarships are probably a student's best source for financial assistance.  Besides the federal and state governments, the institution usually has considerable funds to disperse among the applicants.  The list of college-sponsored scholarships is too extensive to attempt to include them on the web site, but college web sites typically list talent and merit scholarships available.
