Comparison of SAT I and ACT Scores

   These numbers compare percentile ranges and are only valid for the SAT versions prior to March, 2005.  Comparisons and percentiles that reflect the new SAT will be available after one complete yearly cycle, ending August, 2006.

The data for these tables came from 40,051 students who took both the SAT and the ACT between October, 1989 and June, 1990, and sent their scores to any of a group of 14 universities.  Information on the study is found in College Board Report No. 92-3, Methods Used to Establish Score Comparability on the Enhanced ACT Assessment and the SAT, by G.
