*8th grade studies-This class is offered to students who are in need of some extra support with organization of materials and reading /writing skills. This takes the place of Latin or study hall.
*There
are three levels in math: foundations, college prep, and
honors, and two levels in language arts: college prep and honors. Placement decisions are
based on classroom performance, standardized test scores, and teacher/ parent
input.
*8th grade students receive high school credit for Algebra I, Geometry, and Latin I. The grades in the Honors Algebra I and Geometry Honors are weighted.
WHAT TIME DO I START SCHOOL? WHAT TIME DOES SCHOOL END?
School begins at 7:40 a.m. and ends at 2:48 p.m. Students have 9 classes (including lunch) each day approximately 45 minutes in length, with 4 minutes between each class.
