 Lucas Bezerra is a graduate of Mariemont High School, class of 2007. While at Mariemont, Lucas played 4 years of varsity soccer and varsity lacrosse. He was captain of the soccer team for one year and captain of the lacrosse team for 2. After graduation, he attended 2 years of undergraduate study at Ohio Wesleyan University and played lacrosse there for 1 semester before joining the ultimate Frisbee team. After the two years, he structured plans to take a service-year. During that time, Lucas volunteered for an organization called the Christian Appalachian Project. After that experience, Lucas enrolled at the University of Cincinnati where he graduated in 2013 with a major in communication and a minor in business administration. He was admitted into the graduate program at UC in 2012 and will finish his master’s degree in communication after the spring of 2014. Lucas sees his role as a Junior Varsity Coach as a way to continue to foster skills in community and group engagement while giving back to the community that made him the person he is today.
