Transistorized!
This site offers a "biography" of a gadget which changed the
world. In 1947, three men working at the Bell Laboratories created
something that could transfer and resist, thus the transistor. Plenty of
original documents are reproduced such as lab notes and photos of the various
devices. There is an old fashioned radio on the home page and a radio dial
serves as the navigation bar. Interactive games, a glossary, a timeline,
bibliographies, and audio and video clips round out this appealing site.
