almost every page of this multimedia site on Ellis Island. Listen to
personal narratives from immigrants or watch video clips about immigrants in the
1950s. A timeline page will take you to the events leading up to the great
wave of immigration.

Ellis Island
This site has 22 million names from the
manifests of ships that arrived at Ellis Island between 1892 and 1924.
There are also two online exhibits. The first, Immigrant Experience,
chronicles the moving exploration of six Americans from varied backgrounds into

undertaking by the University of Michigan and Cornell University to put primary

This site provides a chronology of
United States historical documents with over 100 fascinating primary source
materials. It is hosted by the College of Law at the University of
Oklahoma. Beginning with the pre-Colonial era, it ends with the second
