PLAY NEWS & UPDATES |
7 rehearsal days until showtime!
Thanks to every single kid and family for
all the effort you've put forth to learn the
lines and blocking and songs and dances, and to
make rehearsals
-- the 6th Grade Play is a valued
tradition, but also a big commitment!! |
We have a number of rehearsals coming up that
are labeled 'plan to be there - specific scenes
to be announced'.
Here's the story: we don't know which
scenes need more work until we see them on
stage.
Kids who used to know their lines and songs
sometimes forget (senioritis?); if a lot of kids
have missed various rehearsals, other kids get
confused as to how the scene really goes and we
have to slow it down quite a bit; if we haven't
run a scene in a while, kids forget ... SO ...
we need flexibility to quickly schedule extra
work when we see its needed!
The big goal is for every kid to have a
good experience on stage. |
To that end, this would really help:
if your child can not make all or part of
a rehearsal (and there really are a lot of very
legit reasons kids can't make it), it is your
child's responsibility to call someone and ask
them to do their lines. |
