PLAY NEWS & UPDATES
7 rehearsal days until showtime!   Thanks to every single kid and family for all the effort you've put forth to learn the lines and blocking and songs and dances, and to make rehearsals  -- the 6th Grade Play is a valued tradition, but also a big commitment!!
We have a number of rehearsals coming up that are labeled 'plan to be there - specific scenes to be announced'.  Here's the story: we don't know which scenes need more work until we see them on stage.  Kids who used to know their lines and songs sometimes forget (senioritis?); if a lot of kids have missed various rehearsals, other kids get confused as to how the scene really goes and we have to slow it down quite a bit; if we haven't run a scene in a while, kids forget ... SO ... we need flexibility to quickly schedule extra work when we see its needed!  The big goal is for every kid to have a good experience on stage.
To that end, this would really help:  if your child can not make all or part of a rehearsal (and there really are a lot of very legit reasons kids can't make it), it is your child's responsibility to call someone and ask them to do their lines.
PROGRAM DESIGN & PR
Jill Baumgartner has graciously agreed to head up our Program & PR Team - Look for cover artwork by Keaton Crowley and Andrew Rose, program design and PR by Kiya Francis, and coming soon ... morning video cameos!
SOUND & LIGHT
Jason Brokamp and David Quiambo are now backstage, trying to learn all our light and sound cues, relying heavily on our 'hole in the wall' - wish them luck!
SET DESIGN
Karen Hollyday has been camped out in the auditorium, creating the lower East Side, circa. 1900.  Many thanks to Beth Garrison, Delta Crabtree, Julie Perry and Joy White for their help!
PROPS
Leslie Pennell has been diligently gathering a multitude of props … if you have any of these things, please call or send them her way (561-8824)
