Michael Hanley is thrilled to begin his 13th year in secondary education. A graduate of Mariemont, he earned his BA in History and Secondary Education from the College of William & Mary and holds a Masters in Educational Administration from Xavier University. After four successful years teaching and coaching at Brentsville District HS in Northern Virginia, he returned to his alma mater in the Fall of 2008.
Now in his ninth year in the social studies department at MHS, Mr. Hanley will be teaching AP European History & CP US History for the 2016-17 SY. Mr. Hanley also is a district mentor, a member of the Superintendent's Staff Council, and the varsity assistant coach for the baseball squad and women's soccer team. He is married to another MHS alum, his wife Hannah, and they live in Mariemont with their dog, Wrigley, and son, Brady.
