January 29 Update

It is the end of January and teasing of spring has begun with the occasional sunny, warmer 50 degree days, mixed in with the gray, snowing, rainy days of winter.  That can only mean that it is time for the tournament draws to begin and the tournaments are right around the corner!  We still have some great regular season action to see before the tournaments arrive, and some seniors to celebrate.

The girls basketball Warriors rebounded from a rough week to record convincing wins over Indian Hill and Reading last week.  The Lady Warriors are a 1/2 game off of the pace in the CHL, due to a snow-out earlier in the season, but the 12-3 squad is ranked 5th in the Enquirer poll this week with a busy slate of games.  Tonight, Mariemont travels to Norwood at 6 and 7:30, and on Wednesday, it's a trip to Taylor for the Lady Warriors at 6 and 7:30.  On Saturday, the teams face Wyoming at home at noon and 1:30 in CHL action.

The boys basketball Warriors stand at 8-8 and 7th in the Enquirer poll.  The Warriors hosted an outstanding event to benefit the GForce Foundation, raising over $3000 and selling over $1200 in GForce apparel.  Thanks to everyone who supported this event.  The Warriors travel to Indian Hill on Tuesday at 4:30,6, and 7:30, and return home on Friday.  The freshmen will face Mason at 4:30, and the JV and Varsity will face Reading at 6 and 7:30.

The Swimming team honored our seniors on Friday against Bellbrook, and the team sets it's sights on the CHL Championships this weekend.  The divers will compete at MHS on Friday at 7pm, and the swimmers will compete at the Powell Crosley YMCA on Saturday at 3:15 pm.  Good luck to all of our Warriors!

The bowlers continue to roll on in their season, picking up wins over Clark and Wyoming last week.  The improving Warriors travel to Deer Park today and battle Clark on Tuesday at Madison Bowl.
