With Thanksgiving fading fast, but not the calories from the Thanksgiving meal, it's time to look forward to the Winter Sports season that is already under way! We will host our Meet the team Nite tonight (Nov 28) in the Commons starting with pizza and drinks at 6:30, and then we'll meet our winter teams and coaches in the gym at 7pm.
The Bowlers have already started their season with matches against Milford and league rival Reading. As the bowlers find their groove, or hit the pocket, they'll travel to Wyoming on December 5, host Deer Park at madision Bowl on December 6, and travel to Taylor on December 7th. On December 11th, the squads host Reading at Madison Bowl. Match times are 3:30, so if you can spare the time, we'd love to strike up the conversation with you at a match.
The Lady Warriors basketball team opened the season with a varsity win over Ross on Monday while the JV dropped a thrilling 33-36 contest. Both squads travel to McNicholas on November 29 at 6 and 730, and to St Ursula on December 2nd at 11 and 12:30. The JVs host West Clermont at 5pm on December 5th, and the Varsity will host Finneytown at 6pm on December 6th. The Madeira Amazons visit on December 9th at 1 and 2:30. The squads travel to Indian Hill on December 13th at 6 and 7:30, and then wrap up the December action on the 16th as the JVs play Harrison at noon and the varsity playes Reading at 1:30.
The boys basketball Warriors hit the hardcaourt on December 2nd to host Seven Hills at 4, 530, and 7pm, and travel to new Richmond on Tuesday December 5th at 430,6, and 7:30. The CHL opens play for the Warriors at Finneytown on December 8th at 4:30,6, and 7:30, and it's another road game on the 12th at Madeira at 430, 6, and 7:30. The boys return home for Indian Hill on December 15th at 4:30, 6, and 7:30, for the MercyHealth Tipoff Classic. We'l also welcome back the 2017 Boys Lacrosse State Champions at halftime and present them their state champion rings. Ahh, good times! The boys will finish off the league portion of December against Reading at Sports Plus on Reading Rd at 6 and 7:30pm.
The Swimming and Diving teams get back into action as the divers host a home meet on Saturday, Decmeber 2nd with Jh at 430 and Varsity at 5:30. The varsity swimmers open their season on Tuesday, December 5th against Indian Hill and Taylor. The swimmers are back in the home tank on Tuesday, December 12th as Tippecanoe makes their first ever trip to Warrior Country. Start time for the swim meets is 5:30.
