While the opening of the school year is still a few days away, the start of the athletic year has already been underway and continues to grow! The girls tennis team is off to a 2-1 start and faces Oak Hills today, 7 Hills on Friday, Anderson on Monday, indian hill on Tuesday. The varsity golf team has rebounded in the last two matches to down Reading and Lasalle, and return to the greens on Thursdua against McNick.
The Varsity football hosts New Richmond for it's OHSAA Jamboree Game tonight, and admission is $5 adults and $4 students, with proceeds going to the OHSAA Foundation. The Warriors open the 2017 campaign next Friday as the Oakwood Lumberjacks chop their way into Warror Country for a 7pm kickoff. The Mariemont community will welcome three Warriors into the Kusel Hall of Fame at 6:30: Coach Don Books, Leigh Fisher '11, and Nate Wagner '12 on the field at 6:30.
Tomorrow kicks off Futbol Friday in Warrior Country as the Seven Hills Stingers open the season with the Warriors. varsity Girls will play at 6pm and Varsity Boys will play at 8pm. On Saturday, the soccer continues as the JH Boys play Kings at 9am, JH Girls play Kings at 11am, the JV girls play at 1pm, and the JV boys play Seven Hills at 3pm. The Lady Warriors will then remain home on Monday as the Ross Rams charge into Kusel Stadium at 5 and 7, and on Thursday, the varsity and JV boys welcome the Fenwick Falcons into Warrior Country at 5 and 7.
The Volleyball Warriors open their season on Saturday as Clark and Bethel Tate visit for a JV and Varsity tri match. The Warriors will play Clark at 10am and Bethel Tate at noon. On Monday, the Lady Warriors serve up Georgetown at home at 530 and 6:30, and then travel to Williamsburg at 5 and 6 on Wednesday.
The Cross Country Warriors sprint inito the opening of the season, with the OHSAA PreSeason Invitational at National Trail Raceway in Hebron ,Ohio, and then open the regular season at Voice of America Park for the Lakota East Invitational.

It's great to be a fan and it's great to support your Warriors and Lady Warriors, but remember that good sportsmanship is an important part of the game on the field and in the stands.
