Weekend Update 8/26

 The Fall Season is in full gear as we wrap up our first full week of the school year.  Our seniors are returing from Camp Kern with the 6th graders, and we're ready to get this going!  The girls soccer team has sprinted to a 3-0 record with wins over 7 Hills, Ross, and Clark, while the JV are 1-2.  The varsity will travel to CCD on Saturday at 1, and the JV will host Western Brown on Monday at 5:30.  Both teams will travel to Taylor on Wednesday.

The Boys soccer team has started the season with a loss to 7 Hills and a tie to enwick, and the tough early season schedule continues with a 3pm match at CCD on Saturday.  The JV boys have started 1-1 with a win over Fenwick and a loss to 7 Hills.  The JVs will host Western Brown Monday at 7pm.  Both squads will host Taylor on Tuesday and McNicholas on Saturday, Sept 3,  at 5 and 7pm.

Thde varsity football team opens the season tonight at Oakwood with a 7pm kickoff against the Luberjacks.  The Warriors return home next Friday for our Hall of Fame game against Batavia at 7pm.  Join us at 6:30 as we welcome Kusel Hall of Fame inductees Coach John Parker, Mac Phillips '05, Davis Conway '07, and Kelsey Hogan '10. 

The Cross Country teams are off and running, with the OHSAA early Season meet behind us. The girls finished 4th and the boys finished 7th.  The teams will be in the CCD Invitational Saturday at 10am girls and 10:30 boys, with the junior high at 9am.  Next Saturday, all squads will be at the Xavier University Invitational at kingswood Park in  Mason.  Junior High at 9am, High School at 10am.

The Tennis Lady Warriors swooped in for a win at milford yesterday to go with previous wins against Winton Woods, Talawanda, and Harrison to start the season 4-1.  The Ladies host Indian Hill on Monday, travel to McNicholas at Lunken on Tuesday, travel to Northwest on Wednesday, and travel to CCD on Thursday.  The JVs will be at IH on Monday, home with Northwest on Tuesday, and home with CCD on Thursday.

The golfing Warriors have started the season 4-3 with wins over Indian Hill, Madeira, Moeller Gold, and Talawanda.  That follows a second place finish in the CHL preview.  They'll travel to St. Xavier at Hyde Park on Monday, Wyoming at Losantiville on Tuesday.

The Volleyball Warriors stand at 1-3 in the early season, and face New Richmond and Clark Saturday at new Richmond at 10 and 11am.  The Lady Warriors travel to taylor on Tuesday and Indian Hill on Thursday.
