Summer is right around the corner, and if you don't believe me, just look at the thermometer! A balmy 32 degree temperature this morning to start the week. We'll be wearing our winter coats to the beach before you know it! But the tournament action is just about to heat up. So let's get to it!
The varsity baseball team lost an exciting 6-7 sectional game at Reading last week, but bounced back to win their final game of the season against Madeira 7-5 in 10 innings. The season's going to be over for nine months, so end on a memorable game.
The Warrior Track and Fields team finished the CHL's with the girls in 2nd and boys in 4th. Junior Ryan Fields was the runner of the week. The tracksters open districts on Tuesday and Thursday at new Richmond High School.
The girls lax Warriors open tournament play on Tuesday in Kusel Stadium against Archbishop MicNicholas at 7pm. This is a state tournament game, so booster passes are not accepted and jumping over the back fence is not permitted. Admission is $6. With a win, the girls will advance to play at home on Friday.
The boys JV lacrosse team ran the table and ran to another Eastside JV Championship on Sunday, downing Milford and Mason along the way. Congratulations!
The boys varsity lacrosse team squares off with Summit at Summit on Thursday in Round 1 of the State Playoffs. The Warriors fell to the Silver Knights last Saturday 7-8, but are looking to even the slate on Thursday. Again, all tickets are $6.
