There's a little lull at the end of this week as the prom takes front stage on Friday, but May is right around the corner with the tournament season looking at us. There's still a few days left in April, and April showers are hammering us in this last week of April. Weather permitting, this is what we have:
Wednesday, the boys varsity lacrosse team hosts 7 Hills for youth lacrosse night at 7:30, as the JV lacrosse team travels to Talawanda. The Warriors have split their last four games and are looking to stay on the left side of the ledger for tournament time. Next week, the Warriors host St. X on may 2 and travel to Loveland on Friday, May 6.
The lady Warriors travel to Wyoming on Thursday to battle the Cowboys at 6 and 7:15. The Lady Warriors have won two of their last three. Next week, the Lady Warriors travel to Seton on May 3 and to Lebanon on May 4.
The Baseball team held a successful Coaches V Cancer game with Norwood on Saturday, gathering a walkoff win and raising over $600 for cancer research. The Warriors varsity travel to Finneytown on Wednesday and host the Wildcats on Thursday. The JV have the opposite schedule, hosting Finneytown on Wednesday and traveling on Thursday. Next week, the varsity hosts Madeira on Monday for senior day, hosts Clermont on Tuesday, travel to Madeira on Wednesday May 4, catch their breath on Thursday, before traveling to Reading on Friday and Western Hills on Saturday. The JV travel to Madeira on Monday, host Madeira on Wednesday, host Purcell on Thursday and Reading on Friday.
The Softball Warriors host Finneytown on Wednesday and travel to the Wildcats on Thursday. Next week, the Lady Warriors host Madeira on Monday, travel to Winton Woods on Tuesday, visit Madeira on Wednesday and Clark on Thursday.
The tennis team plays in the Southwest Ohio Coaches Showcase on Thursday and Saturday this week, and visit Milford on May 3, host CHCA on Wednesday, and host Talawanda on Thursday.
The speedy track Warriors and Lady Warriors continue to collect medals and great finishes. The Warriors visit Taylor on Wednesday and then host one of the great small team invitationals on May 4 and 5th, the McKee Kiwanis Invitational in Kusel Stadium. The event has over 18 teams and is a great tune up for all of these teams before their league championships. Come and support the athletes, especially our outstanding relays!
