EXTRA CREDIT – This may be done once per week.  Do these things:

1. Read a recent (six months or less old) periodical article that is

    five or more paragraphs long.  The article can be any article

    from a science magazine OR if it is not from a science magazine,

    it must be a topic we are currently studying.  You must include

     a copy of the article with the paragraphs described below.

2. Hand-write a summary, in one or more paragraphs, of the article. 

    The summary must include the most important points the author

    is saying.

3. Hand-write an impression paragraph of the article.  In this, you

    can say what you think about the topic, how the topic relates to

    you, how this topic might be important to people, and/or how

    the topic relates to our studies in class.

                     The points earned depend on the thought and

                                  effort put into the paragraphs.
