Teacher and students at the Global Student Leaders Summit

Global Student Leaders Summit

The Mariemont City School District is now represented at the Global Leaders Summit, an annual summit where students from all over the world gather to discuss and solve modern-day, global issues. During the summit, students study innovation and the future of education systems as they travel throughout Europe. At the culminating conference in Switzerland, students will examine how technology and globalization are change the academic landscape.

Watch a video here about the 2015 EF Tour and Student Global Leaders Summit, created by Will Hobart (class of 2016). And for more information about their adventures, check out the blog they kept while participating in the program.

Amanda Lewis (class of 2017) created a video examining education as a human right. "Out of over 285 student videos, Amanda Lewis’s stood out to a panel of judges as a winning project. Because of her creative and compelling discussion about human rights she will have the opportunity to share a table with Summit speakers (including Nicholas Kristof, The New York Times columnist & author; Sheryl Wudunn, humans rights author; Ndaba Mandela, grandchild of Nelson Mandela; and Arun Gandhi, grandchild of Gandhi) at an exclusive VIP lunch in The Hague, Netherlands."

Adventure In Spain: Spring Break 2017

I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge about different cultures that I've never experienced. I think this is a great opportunity to leave an impact on the school and improve the district for future students."
