I would like to take this opportunity to thank our community of dream builders, mentors, mess makers (and mess cleaner uppers), tinkerers, thinkers, leaders, challengers, content experts, hand holders, eye openers, late-night planners, travel guides, innovation chasers, skilled snack openers, daily greeters, safety seekers, life coaches and encouragement experts.
Staff appreciation week starts May 2, and I am so appreciative of the incredible staff we have here at Mariemont City Schools.
It is this time of year that I always reflect on the educators who have had a profound impact on my own life. As I look back on every level of my schooling experience, I can think of an educator who made a difference every step along the way – and my guess is that you can too as you think of your own experiences. How exciting that our staff is doing the same thing for our students today!
They collectively ensure that learning happens everywhere for each and every student. They set our district apart simply by caring about what matters the most – the students and the experience all of them have both inside and outside the classroom.
High expectations define the work of our students and staff. Our staff is committed to applying best practices, well-researched instructional strategies and programs, and assessment data to provide a well-rounded educational experience that engages each student.
I can confidently say our community’s children couldn’t be in a better place and with a more dedicated group of educators to help them succeed as scholars of today and leaders of tomorrow.
My hope is that, over the next couple of weeks, we all take a moment to say “thanks” to the wonderful educators who serve our students each and every day!
