It's About Community: Isabel
Isabel is a cheery, energetic, determined and compassionate elementary student who exudes enough energy to power her own community. When enjoying the community in which she resides, she likes that “there are no bullies in my neighborhood” and she likes “to do crazy stuff, like back walkovers on the beam and playing on the trampoline, with my friends.” She’s an up-and-coming gymnast, gleefully demonstrating her acrobatic skills at every and any opportunity.
When asked about school, Isabel said that she likes all of the subjects in school and is looking forward to hatching chicks next school next year. She also enjoyed participating in her class’s Warriors Change the World projects, in which they showed gracious gratitude to the local fire and police departments throughout the year by writing them letters, giving them a CD of songs, painting banners for them and giving them treats, like fruit baskets and hot cocoa. Warriors Change the World is about infusing the real world into the learning of our students, giving them an opportunity to make a positive impact on the world around them – something Isabel does naturally and gracefully.
In her free time, Isabel truly enjoys her community, taking walks with her family (she is currently in love with Graeters’ watermelon sorbet), riding bikes with her friends and participating in school events, like Mariemont Elementary’s annual carnival.
Isabel is what the Mariemont Experience is all about – jubilantly appreciating and giving back to one’s own community.
