February 23: Deadline to turn in form

Performance Guidelines

Each performance group must have an adult to every 5 kids. These parents assume the role of “Parent Volunteer.” Parent Volunteers must stay with the group at all times; in dry run, rehearsals, and night of performance. Their role will be to provide the Talent Show chairs with the music/props/stage setup info/etc for the performance of the group.

The Parent Volunteers will also sit with the group while in the auditorium at all events and provide the group with directions as well as keep talking/distractions to a minimum.

Acts are limited to 3 minutes. This may require individuals to find alternative, shorter cuts of music or cut the music themselves. Due to popularity of certain songs we may have to limit popular music to 2 repetitive acts per evening or asks groups to combine if it seems doable. Pick songs carefully with attention to lyrics. The Talent Show is for all ages and must adhere to School standards with regard to language and content.

Important information
Please return this form to school by Friday, February 23rd . There is a folder in the office or you can personally give it to Chandra Buswell. This is a hard deadline as we must begin to format the shows.
  • Submit one form for Group Acts
  • Students can be in 1 solo act and still join a group act.
  • Students are permitted to be in only 2 acts.
March 11: Dry Run
Every act is needed for a dry run to make sure we have all sound and tech needs covered. Times will be assigned after the deadline for turning in forms.

April 2: Dress Rehearsal for Grades 4-6
We will run the show from beginning to end. This will give our backstage crew the opportunity to learn their duties and logistics for the show. Each act will be given an approximate time to attend the dress rehearsal. Students will watch the entire performance, so they are encouraged to come for only a short time frame during the dress rehearsal.

April 3: Dress Rehearsal for K-3rd Grade
We will run the show from beginning to end. This will give our backstage crew the opportunity to learn their duties and logistics for the show. Each act will be given an approximate time to attend the dress rehearsal. Students will watch the entire evening performance, so they are encouraged to come for only a short time frame during the dress rehearsal.
