Pay to Participate Policy

For Mariemont High School and Mariemont Junior High School

In June 2012, the Mariemont Board of Education adopted a Pay-to-Participate fee system at the junior high and high school which began with the 2010-11 school year.

Activities included:

All High School & Junior High Sports (Fall, Winter, Spring)
High School Play (Fall)
High School Showstoppers (Fall)
Drumline (Winter)
High School Musical and Junior High Play (Spring)

Fee Structure:

High School - $65 per season per student
Junior High School - $40 per season per student
Yearly Family Cap of $260 (includes HS & JH combined)
Students who receive free or reduced lunch may have their participation fees waived provided that the waiver form that was sent to parents after the initial application for free/reduced lunch has been returned.
(Note: Fee per season example:  If a student participates in two activities during the same season - i.e. soccer and fall play - they are responsible for only one fee payment.)

Payment Deadlines:

Sep 1 - Fall Athletics
Oct 1 - MHS Fall Play
Dec 1 - Winter Athletics & MHS Drumline
Apr 1 - Spring Athletics, MHS Spring Musical & MJHS Play

Fees will be posted on the student's online account (EZPay online payment system) - after teams/casts are selected.  The fees may be paid online or in person at the school office.  Students whose fees have not been paid by the deadline will be removed from the activity until the fee has been paid.
