A Tradition of Excellence In February, 2001, the Ohio State Board of Education recognized the Mariemont City Schools for “sustained excellence. The Mariemont City School District is one of six school districts (612 in the state) to have a perfect score on the report card every year since its inception. - 2001 school record card designated Mariemont “effective.” - 2000 school year report card designated Mariemont “effective.” - 1999 school year report card designated Mariemont “effective.” - 1998 school year report card designated Mariemont “effective.” Class of 2001: - 90% matriculate at colleges and universities across the nation - 75% of class took SAT for an average score of 1079 - 62% of class took ACT with an average score of 22.3 For the 1997-98 school year Mariemont students in the fourth and sixth grades achieved the highest percentage of students in Hamilton County who passed all five Ohio Proficiency tests. Named one of the 100 top school districts in the Nation (Money Magazine, January 1996). Ranked eighth in Ohio on the 1996 Proficiency Test scores (Cincinnati Enquirer, November 1997). Named the Number 1 top-scoring district in Ohio (Toledo Blade, June 22, 1997). Scored third highest in the 1997 Ohio 12th Grade Proficiency Test. Leading Technology The school district is on the cutting edge of infusing technology into the instructional process. Mariemont has successfully engineered a wide area network that converges voice, video, and data communications across a seamless fiber-optic backbone and delivers these services at 100 million bits per second. - wireless connectivity in all schools - high school houses Cisco Acadeny, Oracle Academy and A+ Certification classes for students. |
